Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to customer service and have the ability to navigate efficiently while ensuring timely deliveries. This role involves driving to various locations, handling packages, and maintaining a positive rapport with clients.
The hours for the role are Monday and Tuesday 9am until 2pm and candidate must be flexible to accommodate holiday cover.
Duties
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.
- Deliver of prescriptions to our valued patients.
- Collection of prescriptions from local GP surgeries.
- Deliver packages to designated locations in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Load and unload goods, which may involve heavy lifting and manual handling.
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the delivery vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery status and any potential issues.
- Complete necessary paperwork related to deliveries, including logs of mileage and delivery confirmations.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred but not essential.
- A valid driver's licence is required; experience driving larger vehicles or commercial driving is advantageous.
- No prior driving convictions
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading of goods.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
