Position Overview:
The Deli Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations within the deli at The Nook on Five. This position oversees food preparation, quality, and presentation while maintaining a welcoming and efficient environment for customers. The Deli Supervisor is responsible for leading a team, upholding food safety standards, and supporting management in achieving operational and customer service goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day deli operations, ensuring consistency in service and product quality.
- Train, schedule, and support deli team members to meet performance and service expectations.
- Monitor food preparation, portioning, and presentation to maintain brand standards.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Manage inventory, monitor waste, and assist with ordering supplies.
- Resolve customer inquiries or issues promptly and professionally.
- Support management in meeting sales targets and operational goals.
- Foster a positive team environment that emphasizes customer service and efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in a deli, café, or food service supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Customer-focused mindset with a hands-on approach.
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 48 per week
