We require part time deli assistants to assist in the running of our Deli offer for evenings and weekends.

Daly’s Deli will be a convenient place for our customers to stop for breakfast, lunch or great coffee on the go. Our aim is simple, to provide the best coffee and freshly made food where the service is friendly and efficient. We typically offer cold and hot food solutions ranging from sausage rolls, breakfast wraps, fruit pots, pastries, muffins, sandwiches, quiches, salads to stews, lasagnes to curries – the list is endless!
We want every customer that visits our store to have a quality experience in both service and product, this will be down to you. You’ll make it happen, whether you’re preparing food to our specifications, serving on the counter/till or keeping the prep and service areas clean and tidy.
Previous retail or foodservice experience would be advantageous but not essential as we’ll provide you with all the right training. Above all we’re looking for team members with personality, passion, energy and attitude, who know how to make our customers smile. You will need to be able to work as part of a team and show initiative to provide the very best experience that ensures customers enjoy their visit to Daly’s Deli.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. To ensure quality products are prepared, baked and sold at all times in accordance with store training standards.
2. To foster good team work and harmony with colleagues and customers alike.
3. To use equipment provided safely and appropriately according to the in-store training standards and to observe and comply with Company Health and Safety regulations in relation to providing a safe working environment both for fellow employees and customers.
4. Make oneself aware and have good knowledge of the menu in store.
5. Ensure a high standard of Personal Hygiene is maintained and observe the Company Dress Code to comply with Food Safety Regulations.
6. Ensure punctuality and attendance on rotas/shifts
7. To continually check on your customer offer, adhere to the compliance elements and reset this area to the standard you have been carefully trained to.
8. Ensure unnecessary wastage of in store products according to in store training standards set. 9. Ensure all stock is stored properly according to training standards.
10. Maintain a clean tidy environment at all times as per training standards.
11. Quote prices and persuade people to buy food from the hot food department in store as per training standards.
12. To carry out all functions deemed legal and compliant according to the training standards.
13. Maintain performance and quality of work under pressure in pursuit of optimum customer satisfaction.
14. To address any customer queries or complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
15. To report and record any accidents, Dangerous Occurrence or near miss to a member of management in line with Company Procedure.
16. To carry out any tasks or duties as deemed appropriate by management.

Hours of work: A part time position is available, working 16-24 hours per week, with occasional weekend availability
