Job Summary
We are looking for weekend staff to work in our busy bar on Friday Saturday night only. If you cannot commit to both nights either a Friday or a Saturday maybe an option. You must be able to work at a fast pace so ideal candidates will have experience and possess a passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional guest services. As a member of our bar team, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring that all patrons receive high-quality beverages and food options. This position requires excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Rate of pay is commensurate to age and experience.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, while adhering to food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring that all items meet quality and presentation standards.
- Provide outstanding guest services by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including equipment and utensils.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food and beverages.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for both staff and guests.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a bar is essential.
- Knowledge of serving Wines and Beverages (Beers, wines, cocktails & correct measures)
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous.
- Good communication skills with a focus on guest services.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- A passion for hospitality and a willingness to help others enjoy their experience.
