Our Enfield based Day Service is a specialist Day Service that provides support to adults with a learning disability who have complex support needs. People are supported by the service to access a wide range of valued activities and opportunities within the local community to meet their identified outcomes.
Job description
The Successful applicant will work as a support worker and be part of a team to Plan and provide high quality, person centred, outcome led support to people who use the service; Support and empower people who use the service to reach their full potential Liaise effectively with a wide range of internal and external partners; Establish and maintain a range of community based integrated opportunities for people who use the service; Monitor and review services to ensure they remain person centred and that agreed outcomes are met; Effectively supervise support workers and actively contribute to the Personal Performance and Development Review process; Demonstrate a good understanding of and commitment to underpinning social care values and ethics; Contribute to the day to day running of the day service. You must have a driving licence
What We Are Looking For From You
Experience of working with people with learning disabilities to establish community networks and resources. Experience of liaising effectively with wide range of agencies and opportunity providers To hold or have the ability to train and achieve the relevant NVQ level 3 required for the post. Flexibility and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast changing service. A commitment to offering positive person centred support to individuals using the service. A believe that people with learning disabilities have the right to achieve their full potential and have the right to be positively engaged within their community.
