Creative Content Producer (Video)

Are you a multi-talented creative with a passion for bringing stories to life through video and design? Podcast Labs is on the hunt for an experienced Content Creator/Producer with exceptional skills in video capture, editing and design to join our rapidly growing team.
This isn’t your traditional “video editor” role. We’re looking for a multi-talented creative who wants to work on a wide range of different projects, genres & media. You might be a designer with video creation and animation experience, a content creator or influencer who masters their own content, a video editor with a keen eye for design, or even a marketing manager who has brilliantly managed content creation for their brand.

This is a hybrid role, where you can work from home or a workspace local to you as well as in person with the team at our offices, so you will need to be commutable to Bournemouth a couple of days a week, as well as travel to on location shoots.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As our Creative Content / Video Creator, you'll be a key player in shaping our visual narratives, with responsibilities including:
- Full Production Lifecycle: Acting as a skilled videographer and video editor, comfortable with professional-level equipment, and adept at managing clients and talent on production shoots through the entire post-production process.
- Trendsetter: Staying on top of all the latest industry trends and styles in the content creation space, ensuring our work is always fresh and engaging.
- Versatile Video Editing: Mastering video editing for both long-form YouTube-style content and impactful social media clips.
- Dynamic Motion Graphics: Creating fun, engaging, animated trailers and showreels from our client's video content.
- Brand Integration: Designing and animating elements to seamlessly integrate our clients' brands into the content we create.
- Compelling Storytelling: Crafting video sequences from both planned podcast content and valuable B-roll/behind-the-scenes footage.
- On-Location Expertise: Capturing and directing video podcasts with a 4K multi-camera setup, including expert audio recording both in our studio and on-location with clients.
- Visual Aesthetics: Handling lighting, staging, and set-dressing to create the perfect visual environment.
- Capturing Moments: Documenting the process with B-roll and behind-the-scenes footage, along with client and behind-the-scenes photography.
- Equipment Pro: Ensuring all equipment is managed and maintained to the highest standards.
- Audio Fundamentals: Recording high-quality audio podcasts on-location or in-studio.
- Driving Innovation: Actively innovating in the content capture and production space, developing new processes, and continually improving quality and engagement for us and our clients.
- Strategic Content Planning: Engaging in storyboarding and content planning based on target audiences, alongside production planning and research.
Essential Skills You'll Bring:
- Technical Proficiency: Must be familiar and competent using professional video cameras and broadcast-quality audio equipment.
- Visual Mastery: Strong skills in colour-grading to enhance visual appeal.
- Accessibility Awareness: Understanding of the latest accessibility standards in content creation.
- On-Set Acumen: Quick-thinking, problem-solving, and risk management skills crucial for running fast-paced on-location shoots.
- Camera Operation: Comfortable with hand-held and gimbal camera operation.
Preferable Skills That Would Be a Bonus:
- Audio Expertise: Experience or knowledge in audio editing/sound treatment.
- YouTube Growth: Experience or knowledge in curating content to grow YouTube channels.
- Immersive Content: Experience with 360 video capture and editing.
Our Tools & Tech:
We equip our team with the best to produce the best:
- Cameras & Audio: We use SONY cameras for both video & photo, complemented by a combination of broadcast-grade audio equipment including RODE, SHURE, ZOOM, and UNIVERSAL AUDIO devices.
- Apple Ecosystem: We run on Apple devices across the business, so familiarity with macOS and iOS is critical.
- Adobe Creative Suite: We use the Adobe Suite for all our editing, specifically Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Audition.
- Cloud Collaboration: We use Google Workplace for our email, file management, and word processing.
Important Considerations:
This role does involve being able to travel, occasionally internationally, and also requires travelling with and moving equipment to and from our on-location shoots.
