Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely delivery of packages and documents, ensuring that all items are handled with care and delivered to the correct locations. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to providing outstanding service to our clients.
Duties
- Drive a van or similar vehicle to deliver packages and documents within designated routes.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring that all items are securely loaded and unloaded from the vehicle.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking information and recipient signatures.
- Assist in the warehouse as needed, including sorting packages and preparing items for dispatch.
- Ensure that the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards is essential.
- Experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous, particularly in relation to logistics and inventory management.
- A valid driving licence held up to for at least a year with a clean driving record is required; experience driving larger vehicles is a plus.
