Summary
As a Counter Assistant at JOHNSONS ENTERPRISES, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service while assisting with the preparation and presentation of our seafood products.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers at the counter with their seafood selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations.
- Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to during food handling and preparation.
- Manage inventory levels at the counter, ensuring products are fresh and well-presented.
- Perform basic math calculations for pricing and transactions accurately.
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
- Support kitchen staff with food preparation tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Experience in a food service or retail environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices.
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods effectively.
- Basic math skills for accurate pricing and transactions.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

Wednesday - Friday
Working as a counter assistant for a fish market.
8.30am-3pm
Good customer service skills.
Hard working
You will be teamed up, working at a mobile farm shop location.
Strong and physically fit. The fish stall's are very busy so you need to be able to keep up with customers and there requests.
Good communication skills.
Previous work with fish/ butchery or on a deli counter would be an added bonus.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From £12.25 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 26 per week
