- Job Type: Freelance, Part-Time, Full-time
- Pay: From £22 to £35 per hour (subject to role allocated)
- Schedule: Flexible, including weekdays and some weekend availability
- Work Location: Coventry in person only.
- Required Hours: 5 hours minimum per week (with the option to work up to 30 hours per week if desired - Subject to discussion)
- Availability: Monday to Friday, with a particular interest in those available for evenings and weekends.
- Start Date: Subject to references & DBS

About the Role
Positive Talk is seeking Dedicated, Compassionate, and Qualified Counsellors, Psychotherapist, Life Coaches and Mentors to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide professional guidance and emotional support to individuals facing various life challenges. We welcome applications trom professionals with experience working with children, young people, adults, and couples & families.
You will be responsible for:
- Conducting initial assessments to evaluate clients' needs and determine the best therapeutic approach.
- Developing and implementing personalised care plans, using evidence-based strategies.
- Providing individual, couple, and group therapy sessions, supporting clients through emotional and mental health challenges.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care, if required.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential records, adhering to ethical and legal standards.
- Staying updated with the latest counselling techniques and best practices.
- Addressing safeguarding concerns and working in line with organisational policies and legal requirements.
Requirements
We are looking for professionals who are passionate about mental health and well-being. The ideal candidate will have:
- A level 4 and above qualification in Counselling or a related field.
- A valid counselling license or certification.
- Proven experience providing counselling services.
- Leadership and communication skills to guide & support clients towards positive change.
- Proficiency in IT systems for record-keeping and documentation.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a professional setting.
