Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team. on a maternity cover basis with the potential for a permanent role at the end of the cover period. Experience preferred. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of light lunches while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of meals according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene practices.
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, and assembling ingredients. Some baking too.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and report any shortages to management.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in meal preparation.
- Previous cafe experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temp to perm
Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 45 per week
