Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team at Ebor Construction Ltd. This role is crucial in ensuring timely and safe delivery of materials and equipment to various construction sites. Based in York, you will play an essential part in supporting our projects and maintaining the flow of operations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicle to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
- Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Communicate effectively with site managers to coordinate delivery schedules.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness of the vehicle.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is preferred.
- Experience in the construction industry and familiarity with materials would be an advantage.
- Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus.
