Community Engagement Worker – Job Description
Salary: £13.50 per hour
Contract: Employed, initially for 12 months (possibility of extension subject to funding)
Hours: Part-time, 22.5 hours per week. Days which are worked will be agreed prior to commencing employment. Hybrid Working may be an option to the right candidate.
Holidays: 30 days (pro-rata for part time)
Location: Lockerbie Old School Hub and community locations
Reporting to: Project Development Manager (PDM) and/or designated Board Member
Closing Date: 4th August 2025
Interviews: Week Commencing 11th August 2025

Role Purpose
The Community Engagement Worker will help bring Lockerbie Old School Hub to life by organising events, building partnerships, supporting volunteers, and increasing the Hub's visibility in the community. This proactive and outward-facing role will work closely with the Community Development Officer to deliver engaging activities, promote services, and strengthen the Hub’s community connections.
