Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Care Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in the community, helping them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. Your responsibilities will include mentoring and supervising clients, ensuring they receive the care they need in a respectful and dignified manner.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Mentor clients by encouraging their personal development and promoting independence in their daily routines.
- Supervise clients during various activities to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist with medication management as required, ensuring adherence to prescribed regimens.
- Document client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare personnel.
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge related to community care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a caregiving or community support role is preferred but not essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility in working hours to meet the needs of clients is essential.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in health or social care would be advantageous.
