Neat Vehicles is a well established manufacturer of specialist vehicles and trailers for various sectors both in the UK and abroad.
We are seeking a skilled commercial vehicle Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality finishes.
The position is offered on a permanent basis, with regular hours over a 4 day working week Monday to Thursday.
This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring that all work meets our high standards of quality and safety. The Painter will work on various bespoke projects.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks.
- Apply paint or other finishes using spray equipment.
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance and make necessary touch-ups.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to painting tasks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with equipment as needed.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during preparation and application processes.
- Previous experience in painting is essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
The starting salary is from £15.68 - 16.68 per hour dependent on experience/ability, which includes a weekly attendance allowance. However there is still an excellent opportunity for salary progression for a candidate who can prove they have all the relevant experience and abilities.
