The Role
Working with the Senor Commercial Finance Business Partner for 2 brands (Payment Shield & Lloyd Latchford) within Markerstudy Distribution, you will partner with key departments, aligning with the P&L owner to provide clear articulation of financial performance, accurate forecasting based on an intimate understanding of the commercial models, take joint ownership for the commercial outcomes, identify commercial opportunities and deliver value whilst being curious and providing robust challenge to colleagues where applicable.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Financial
- Deliver budget targets for Volumes & EBITDA
- Work with the pricing and sales teams to optimise the balance between case growth and earnings
- Identify opportunities for additional value through commercial or cost initiatives
- Close management of Risks and Opportunities
- Support initiative delivery including business cases for change prioritisation and financial tracking throughout the year (so that functional owners feel accountable for delivery of the plan)
- Strategic
- Drive simplification and process improvement across the team, including Transition to group Anaplan data and modelling.
- Deliver consistent trading reporting and forecasting across Distribution
- Investigate performance issues and create ad hoc analysis to add to business intelligence to support decision making.
- Regular diarised time allocated for improvements away from normal BAU activity to drive continuous improvement.
- Analyse external trends and identify customer and commercial opportunities
- Support M&A and DD/information requests
- Customer
- Improve relationships with commercial P&L owners and wider management teams to encourage collaboration and jointly owned plans, targets and trading objectives.
- Build collaborative relationships with key financial stakeholders across the business including Group FP&A, Group Cost and Controllership.
- Risk
- Ensure compliance training completed on time
- Ensure compliance with Financial Reporting Standards
- Ensure the Business Policies & Standards are strictly always adhered to across the function.
- People/ESG
- Maintain PDP with clear & deliverable expectation for 2025
- Drive One Finance team culture and collaboration across all areas of the team
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualifications: ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualified.
- Proven experience in FP&A / Business Partnering.
- Advanced Excel skills, including building financial models
- Experience with Anaplan is highly desirable but not essential
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
