Your role:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to join our team, focusing on builder customers in South Australia & Northern Territory. This exciting role offers an opportunity managing existing accounts and driving new business growth. With significant expansion opportunities in SA & NT, you'll be instrumental in nurturing relationships with existing customers while targeting new business opportunities within the commercial construction sector.
Your role will be primarily site-based (80%) with the remaining 20% spent in the office, allowing you to network with project managers and stakeholders on-site.
In this role, you will need to understand the activities, project pipeline, and future business direction of commercial builders in your territory. You will also identify opportunities in commercial repaint and new construction projects. Your responsibilities will include engaging directly with builders, developers, and architects to generate specifications, drive revenue, and promote the value of DuluxGroup products.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive, hands-on leader with strong technical skills and the ability to navigate complex construction site dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and expand relationships with key tier one and tier two builders, focusing on both account management and business development.
- Generate leads independently while collaborating with the specification team to support project specifications.
- Regularly liaise with project managers and other on-site stakeholders to drive the success of projects.
- Monitor and manage your customer base, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and service delivery.
- Create and manage project specifications, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with customer needs.

Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in business development or account management, ideally within the commercial construction industry.
- Strong technical background, with the ability to understand and create project specifications and navigate construction site dynamics.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively both on-site and remotely.
- A results-driven mindset with the ability to balance account management and new business development.
- Knowledge of the construction industry, preferably with experience in paints or related fields like steel or plasterboard.
