Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Coffee Shop Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our customers. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
- Assist with food preparation, ensuring all items meet food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of the coffee shop, including tables, counters, and equipment
- Handle cash and card transactions efficiently while providing receipts to customers
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods
- Provide catering services for events when required
- Uphold high standards of hospitality to enhance customer satisfaction
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant or café environment is advantageous
- Barista experience preferred, with knowledge of various coffee brewing methods
- Strong food safety awareness to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills in catering and food preparation
- Strong organisational skills to manage tasks efficiently throughout shifts

Pay: £10.00-£15.00 per hour
