181658 Clinical Research Fellow in Translational Myeloma Research

Grade E63 or E64: £36,616 - £70,425 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience, in line with current pay protection and transitional arrangements in the NHS. This is a full time, fixed term position for 12 months.
The Oxford Translational Myeloma Centre (OTMC) is seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Research Fellow to join its dynamic and expanding programme of translational research in myeloma. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research aimed at improving outcomes for patients with myeloma and related plasma cell disorders.
The postholder will play a key role in supporting OTMC’s portfolio of translational and clinical research studies, including real-world data generation, biomarker sample collection, and data analysis. They will also be actively involved in the clinical delivery of myeloma trials – both academic and commercial – embedded within Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
As a Clinical Research Fellow, you will contribute actively to the conduct, and delivery of high-quality translational myeloma research in collaboration with clinical, academic, and industry partners and engage in clinical duties, supporting both inpatient and outpatient care of myeloma patients enrolled in clinical trials (academic and commercial). You will maintain a fixed but flexible clinical timetable balancing clinical and research responsibilities and participate and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings, trial clinics, and service development, particularly in the delivery of advanced therapies.
You will hold a PhD/MD with focus on haemato-oncological disorders, a membership of the Royal College of Physicians or equivalent and full registration (and a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC). You will have direct experience of undertaking myeloma/ lymphoid disorders research, good organisational communication and personal skills and good understanding of clinical governance as applied to delivery of clinical services. Experience of working with industry and developing ethically approved clinical protocols is desirable.
