The role is in-person, patient facing and you are first point of contact for current, new and potential new patients. Additionally, you will be supporting our growing team of practitioners and the smooth operation of the clinic day-to-day.
Training will be provided, however existing skills and experience required are laid out below;
What skills do I need to apply?
· Have excellent communication skills – telephone, written & face to face.
· Be proficient computer skills including Windows based programs - training will be provided on specific practice management software.
· Multi-tasking; whilst maintaining a friendly & professional manner with patients & the team.
· Be discreet & professional regarding confidential information.
· Be energetic, positive, self-motivated and provide a high level of customer service.
· Able to work clinic shift patterns & help cover holiday or sickness.
· Punctuality & reliability.
What experience/qualifications do I need to apply?
Essential;
· 1 year (minimum) in a patient / customer facing role &/or
· Administration and office experience.
· Processing payments via card/invoices & money handling.
· GCSE or equivalent or above.
· Interest in healthcare & wellbeing.
Desirable;
· Previous role in a patient facing healthcare setting.
· Held a position of responsibility previously.
Key Responsibilities
To be support the smooth, professional & patient focused running of clinic with administration/reception including:
· Liaison with patients including handling telephone/email/walk-in enquiries, appointment bookings, and calling missed / cancelled appointments.
· Checking, responding to patient emails, or passing on to relevant colleague/practitioner.
· Taking payments & end of shift reconciliation.
· Insurance billing.
· Maintaining up to date patient details on practice management system.
· Ensuring the clinic stays presentable to patients.
· Assist the practitioners with other task as directed/requested.
· Ensure clear handover to colleagues working other shifts.
Working Hours:
Seeking TWO part-time clinical assistants to share/cover the following shifts:
· Monday 3pm-8pm
· Tuesday 8am-1pm
· Wednesday 2pm-8pm
· Thursday 8am-2pm
· Friday 2pm-8pm
· Saturday 8am-12pm
· Additional hours to help cover sickness/holiday*/events* (*with notice).
· Example working patterns options might be:
All morning/early afternoons (Tues, Thurs & Sat) = 15hrs
All afternoon/evenings (Mon, Wed & Fri) = 17hrs
Mon, Tues, & Wed = 16hrs
Thurs, Fri, & Sat = 16hrs
