Cleansing Operative
Location: Glastonbury Highway Depot, Wells Road, Glastonbury, BA6 9AS
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 5+ Months
Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 Hours per week
Pay Rate: £ 12.45 per hour

Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in assigned areas, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals, adhering to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
- Monitor and report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor promptly.
- Ensure all waste is disposed of correctly and recycling protocols are followed.
- Assist in setting up rooms or facilities for events or meetings when required.
- Respond promptly to any cleaning emergencies or urgent requests as directed by the supervisor.
Person Specification
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Good communication skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks, including lifting and moving equipment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends if required.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations related to cleaning operations.
