The Legal Assistant will play a key role in supporting the firm’s civil litigation attorneys. This position involves managing a wide range of administrative and legal tasks, ensuring that cases are handled efficiently and effectively from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting attorneys with all aspects of civil litigation matters
- Preparing, formatting, and proofreading legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence
- Filing legal documents with the courts (both electronically and manually)
- Organizing and maintaining physical and digital case files
- Managing calendars, scheduling court dates, meetings, and depositions
- Assisting with trial preparation, including compiling exhibit binders and coordinating witnesses
- Communicating professionally with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience working as a legal assistant/credit controller/ secretary
- Strong understanding of litigation processes and court filing procedures
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal practice management systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently and collaboratively

Pay: Up to £28,000.00 per year
