Responsibilities
As a member of out healthcare team, you'll play a vital role in providing compassionate, high-quality care across a variety of settings. Depending on your experience and the service, you responsibilities may include:
- Building trusting relationships with clients and supporting their individual care plans
- Assisting with daily living activities, medication management, and emotional support
- Provide support in behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions and outcomes.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that enhance their physical and emotional well-being.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Offer specialised care for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages independence while providing necessary assistance.
Experience
- Have experience working in a care or support role ( minimum 6 months preferred)
- Hold an Enhanced Child and Adult DBS.
- have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in behaviour management techniques is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively when assisting clients with mobility challenges.
