JR-0000056825The Compliance Chief Data Office team within the border Compliance Digital Strategy and Innovation team is responsible for diving a consistent approach for managing and using data across Compliance, governing new uses of data to drive commercial benefits. The team partner with stakeholders in the business and technology who produce or consume data, and partnering with Compliance Data owners to ensure Compliance with the Group data and Records Management policies and standards. As a Chief Data Office AVP, you will work closely with Compliance colleagues, ensure Policies and Standards remain fit for purpose and address changing regulatory expectations. You will work with Compliance leadership to understand data issue and requirements and drive solution which will include practical guidance to support businesses in implementing control requirements in a risk based manner.

Purpose of the role
To drive the bank's data strategy and maximising the value of its data assets by overseeing all aspects of data and records management.
Accountabilities
- Development and implementation of Barclays Data & Records Management strategy aligned with the bank's business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Defining and enforcement of data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.
- Development and implementation of data management systems and technologies.
- Driving a consistent approach for managing and using data across the business.
- Partnering with stakeholders to drive improvements in the understanding, use and quality of data.
