Job title: Charles River Implementation Specialist
We are looking for a skilled Charles River Implementation Specialist for a future role to join our team. This role will involve configuring OMS, Trading, Compliance, and Portfolio Management modules, integrating third-party data sources (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, custodians), and supporting trade lifecycle automation using FIX protocol tools. The ideal candidate will have both functional and technical expertise in Charles River, FIX connectivity, and data reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation and configuration of Charles River IMS modules including Order Management (OMS), Trading, Compliance, and Portfolio Management.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, develop functional specs, and translate business needs into system configurations.
- Integrate Bloomberg, Reuters, and custodian data feeds within the CRD platform.
- Configure and test FIX connectivity using tools like VeriFIX, FIXSim, and QuickFIX.
- Utilize Charles River APIs for system integration and data automation.
- Support compliance workflows and trade rule configurations using Charles River Compliance.
- Develop and deliver operational dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau.
- Coordinate and support data validation and transformation using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
- Ensure regulatory compliance alignment for MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, and other regional frameworks.
- Conduct user training, prepare documentation, and support go-live activities.
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, QA, and business users across implementation cycles.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing and supporting Charles River IMS (preferably in client-facing roles).
- Strong functional knowledge of OMS, Trading, Compliance, and Portfolio Management workflows.
- Experience with integrating Bloomberg, Reuters, and custodian data into investment platforms.
- Proficiency in FIX protocol and tools such as VeriFIX, FIXSim, and QuickFIX.
- Solid understanding of Charles River APIs and technical integration patterns.
- Strong SQL skills, especially using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
- Ability to build dashboards and reports using Tableau and/or Power BI.
- Knowledge of financial regulations including MiFID II and Dodd-Frank.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Prior experience working with asset managers, hedge funds, or CRD implementation partners.
- Charles River certifications (e.g., Functional or Technical Implementation).
- Experience with cloud-hosted Charles River environments.
- Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project management methodologies.
