Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Multi-Trader / Builder / Handyman to join our dynamic and fast-paced property management team. The ideal candidate will have strong general building knowledge and be comfortable working across a range of trades and property types – from day-to-day repairs to supporting major works like loft conversions and refurbishments.
This is a varied, hands-on role with the opportunity to work independently, support other builders on site, and attend site assessments with property managers.
We also offer optional live-in accommodation at discounted staff rates for suitable candidates looking to join the team long-term.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and fabricate building components according to specifications and drawings
- Perform a wide range of tasks including painting, decorating, general building, snagging, and light plumbing/electrical work
- Assist in larger property projects such as loft conversions, extensions, kitchen and bathroom installs
- Support property managers on site visits to assess maintenance or repair needs
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Execute joinery, masonry, and basic plumbing tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised worksite
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the build or repair process
Experience and Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a building, maintenance, or multi-trade role (essential)
- Strong understanding of general construction techniques
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and basic site machinery
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Experience with plumbing, electrics, carpentry, or decorating is highly desirable
- Driving licence is a bonus
- Ability to read basic technical drawings is beneficial
- Must be reliable, proactive, and adaptable to a variety of job types
