We are looking for a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join our team at The Steyning Centre. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth running of our community facility and providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Opening and closing the building for bookings and events
- Setting up and clearing away furniture and equipment as required
- Carrying out routine cleaning and basic maintenance tasks
- Reporting any repairs or safety concerns
- Liaising with hirers to ensure their requirements are met
About You:
- A hands-on approach with good practical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A flexible attitude, with the ability to work evenings and weekends as required
