Job outline
The Governors wish to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Caretaker to be based at St James’ CofE Junior School.
Working hours will be 20 hours per week. 2:30-6:30pm Monday – Friday. There may be times during the school holidays when these hours will be altered to accommodate site opening and closing for contractors.
St James Junior School is a friendly and welcoming school, with an emphasis on promoting high standards and a broad curriculum. We will offer the successful applicant a supportive environment that is dedicated to staff development and works well in partnership with parents, the local community and Derby Diocese.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety protocol
- Strong maintenance skills
- Good time management and task planning.
- Good work ethic
- Good initiative to ensure smooth maintenance of the school site
- Friendly and helpful manner
- The ability to keep accurate records of safety checks and prepare these for H&S audits
