£13,41 per hour (£27.892 a year based on a 40-hour working week)
We are currently seeking to recruit a caring, committed and reliable Care Assistant to join our friendly team at Red Gables for night shifts.
Westheath Care Homes (Staffing) Ltd provides care staff to five care homes owned and operated by a private company, these are located in Bodmin, Lanivet, Lewannick (Nr Launceston) and the Bude area, all of which have obtained and maintained a ‘Good’ CQC rating.
We provide high standards of person-centred care to a wide range of elderly and disabled people with a dedicated team of Care assistants and a strong team of experienced managers who have a high number of years in working in care. Following an interview, an Enhanced DBS check will be carried out by the company on you prior to final confirmation of a job offer (this will be paid for by the company - but maybe repaid to the company should you leave within a 3-month period), you will then be enrolled into our induction programme, this will be followed by shadow shifts, enabling you to become confident in your new role.
Previous experience is desired; however, if you are new to care, we provide full training within our induction programme.
Duties will consist of providing person-centred care for our residents through a range of care and support services, encouraging Independence in a dignified and compassionate manner.

· Must be able to work every other weekend
· Provide cover when other team members take annual leave or are absent for other reasons

· Experience in health and social care is preferable, but not essential
· NVQ level 2 or above in Health and Social Care - or willingness to achieve
In return, you can expect competitive rates of pay, a minimum number of contracted hours per week and also an equivalent of 6 weeks annual leave per employment year (this will be your weekly contracted hours x 6)
