As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of assistance. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Provide transportation for clients to appointments, social activities, or errands using various types of vehicles.
- Ensure a safe environment by monitoring clients' conditions and reporting any changes to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals.
- Support clients with mobility assistance and engage them in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge when necessary to assist clients with mobility devices or other equipment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related field is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare providers.
- A valid driver’s license is required; experience in commercial driving or shuttle driving is a plus.
- Familiarity with various vehicle types such as box trucks, dump trucks, or paratransit vehicles is advantageous.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation or forklift use is beneficial.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as moving, loading & unloading, and operating manual transmission vehicles.
