Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing assistance to individuals in care homes or home care settings. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans, ensuring that the needs and preferences of our clients are met with dignity and respect.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Support individuals in maintaining their independence while ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring they have safe transportation.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition, adhering to care plans.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to client care, including IT-related duties as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care or a similar role is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are crucial for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as needed.
- Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is essential.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is a must.
- Basic IT skills are advantageous for maintaining records and communication within the team.

Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour
