Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our EXPANDING team in providing exceptional support to individuals in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role involves working closely with residents to assist them with daily activities while maintaining their dignity and independence.

Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including washing and dressing.
- Support residents in following their individual care plans, ensuring that their specific needs are met.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other staff members to provide updates on residents' well-being.
- Help with meal preparation and assist at meal times as required, ensuring dietary needs are adhered to.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment within the care home, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Document daily activities and any changes in residents' conditions accurately in our online PCS systems.
- Support residents to appointments or activities as needed, ensuring their safety during transport.
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents and team members.
- Experience or knowledge of care plans to provide tailored support for each resident's needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being capable of working independently when required.
- Familiarity with IT systems for documenting care needs and activities and managing resident information efficiently.
- Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
