Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services. Your primary focus will be to assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to follow care plans effectively.
Shifts will be a variety of 8-2, 2-8 or 8-8
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Help prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow individual care plans tailored to each client's needs and preferences.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
Experience
- Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- A good command of English is required for effective communication with clients and team members.
- Familiarity with basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes is advantageous.
