Overview
As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate support to individuals in our care home. Your primary responsibility will be to assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This position requires a dedicated individual who is skilled in communication and has a genuine passion for helping others.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing and dressing.
- Support residents with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel.
- Engage residents in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
Skills
- Proficient communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with residents and team members.
- Strong IT skills for maintaining records and using care management software.
- Experience in a care home setting or providing home care is highly desirable.
- Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately.
