We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Café Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our café. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality, ensuring that our team delivers exceptional service while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role requires effective team management and the ability to create a welcoming environment for both staff and customers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement training programmes for new employees in areas such as food preparation, bartending, and customer service.
- Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to minimise waste.
- Create staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours while managing labour costs effectively.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff members.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Monitor café operations to ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
Skills
- Proven experience in team management within the hospitality or food service industry.
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead by example.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Exceptional leadership qualities with a focus on motivating and developing staff.
- Experience in bartending is an advantage but not essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
