We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. As a Cafe Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers enjoy a delightful experience, from food preparation to serving delicious beverages and meals.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of food and beverages, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and drinks, and responding to customer inquiries.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including dining spaces and kitchen facilities.
- Support catering events as needed, ensuring timely and efficient service.
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
- Operate coffee machines and other equipment safely and efficiently, demonstrating barista skills when required.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
Skills
- Previous experience in catering or hospitality is highly desirable.
- Strong food preparation skills with an understanding of food safety regulations.
- Experience in a restaurant setting is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Barista experience is a plus, showcasing an ability to craft quality beverages.
- A proactive attitude towards teamwork and problem-solving in a busy environment.
