We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. As a Cafe Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while ensuring the smooth operation of the café.
Duties
- Serve customers with a friendly and professional attitude, taking orders and providing recommendations as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including tables, counters, and equipment.
- Support catering events by preparing food and beverages, setting up, and assisting during service.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, maintaining hygiene standards throughout the café.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and assist with inventory management as required.
- Provide barista services, preparing coffee and other beverages to customer specifications.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or café environment is preferred, showcasing your ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong hospitality skills with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
- Experience in catering is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Barista experience is desirable, particularly in crafting specialty coffee drinks.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Pay: £12.21-£15.18 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 32 per week
