Sandicliffe is a trusted, family-run business with over 75 years of success in the East Midlands. We’re now seeking a welcoming and proactive Café Assistant to support the smooth day-to-day running of our in-house café at our Nottingham FordStore.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Preparing and serving hot and cold food and drinks for both takeaway and dine-in customers
- Placing weekly food orders with suppliers and checking deliveries for accuracy
- Taking customer orders, processing payments, and delivering friendly table service
- Keeping the café clean, well-organised, and welcoming at all times
- Maintaining stock rotation, checking expiry dates, and minimising food waste
- Adhering to food hygiene, health, and safety standards consistently
- Completing end-of-day reports and cashing up the till
- Supporting a smooth and efficient café operation as part of a small, friendly team
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a café, hospitality, or food service environment
- Valid Food Hygiene Certificates
- A warm and customer-focused attitude with strong communication skills
- Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and safety
- A flexible approach to working hours and covering holidays when needed
This is a job share role, typically offering an average of 22.5 hours per week per role holder, with up to 39.5 hours for holiday cover.
Café opening hours:
Monday – Friday: 7:45am – 3:15pm
Saturday (1 in 2): 8:00am – 12:30pm
