About the Job
As a Cafe Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of food and beverages to our customers in our busy and popular onsite café.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the preparation and serving of food and beverages to café customers
- Taking food and drink orders and processing payments
- Rotating stock and restocking fridges
- General cleaning duties of the café and kitchen areas, maintaining excellent hygiene requirements regarding basic food service, handling, and production.
- Promoting a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and upselling products.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will
- Ideally have some cooking skills and knowledge of food preparation.
- Ideally hold a Food Hygiene or Food Handling Certificate
- Experience of delivering first class customer service
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to influence and persuade
