Cable Recovery Operative (2-Man Team – Nationwide Work)
Contract: Full-time
Client: Openreach
Location: Nationwide (travel & overnight stays required)
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Cable Recovery Operative to form part of a 2-man team on a nationwide cable recovery contract with Openreach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform intensive manual labour as part of the cable recovery process
- Assist the foreman with operations and equipment
- Operate recovery machinery as trained
- Travel and work away from home, including nights away
- Work flexible shifts (day and night)
Requirements:
- Full, clean driving licence (HGV licence preferred)
- Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor, labour-intensive work
- Willingness to work away from home on a regular basis
Desired Qualifications (not essential):
- Unit 1 – Signing, Lighting, and Guarding certification
- Experience working in Openreach underground networks
