Join Our Team as a Business & Finance Operations Assistant!
Location: Boroughbridge | Full-time | Mon–Thurs 8:30–5:00, Fri 8:30–4:00
We’re looking for a Business & Finance Operations Assistant to join our dynamic team at UNTHA UK.
Are you a highly organised, proactive team player who is able to provide crucial administrative, finance, and operational support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the business.
Duties:
Operations Support
· Create work orders through our inhouse system carrying out various tasks such as scheduling engineers, maintaining the diary, creating orders, invoicing, quoting for relevant work and closure of work order.
· Assist in arranging engineering services, maintenance and inspection visits for customers and schedule required resources (workers, supplies, transport, etc.) to ensure minimal disruption and maximum productivity.
· Ensure reception area is ready to welcome guests/ TV is turned on/off daily.
· Answer incoming calls and filter to colleagues as appropriate.
· Be the first point of contact for welcoming any customers/visitors and offer them refreshments and ensure the visitor book is signed in/out, along with health and safety brief.
· Prepare the Boardroom/other meeting rooms for set up when required for both internal and external meetings (including customer trials) to ensure catering is provided where necessary. After each event the meeting room is required to be cleared.
· Order and manage office supplies and refreshments
· Maintain a clean, stocked and safe working environment
· Ensure sufficient stocks of toilet rolls, hand soap and toilet cleaner are available at all times in the bathrooms. Daily checks required.
· Organise team events and birthdays.
· Assist with health and safety administrative tasks such as COSSH/safety data sheets are up to date.
· Assist the sales and project departments with tasks such as arranging transport for machines.
· Assist with any admin tasks or projects that are undertaken by the relevant departments.
Finance Support
· Assist with various financial processes, including data entry, record-keeping, and transaction processing.
· Create quotations for customer needs in relation to parts required and our service packages.
· Progress quotations through our Business Central finance system by invoicing, ordering from the factory or producing picking notes internally from our stock, to ensuring products are delivered.
· Reconcile the company credit card statements each month against receipts.
· Organise and maintain financial records, files, and documents.
· Liaise with other departments and stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years’ experience in a busy office environment.
- Confident with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ideally experienced with tools like Dynamics 365, Sage, or Teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communicator, professional, and friendly – a true team player.
- Flexible, proactive, and ready to take initiative in improving how we work.
Bonus Skills (Not Essential but Nice to Have)
- Experience working with financial systems or databases.
- Familiarity with stock control, quotations, or logistics.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £26,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
