We are currently looking for a Bricklayer to join out team in Caerphilly.
Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bricklayer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing and repairing walls, buildings, chimneys, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and other materials. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Measure and mark surfaces to be covered with bricks or other materials
- Mix mortar and spread it onto surfaces to be covered
- Lay bricks or other materials in rows, patterns, or designs
- Cut or trim bricks and other materials to fit around windows, doors, and other openings
- Use hand and power tools to cut and shape bricks and other materials
- Repair and maintain existing brick structures
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of bricklaying techniques and materials
- Physical stamina and strength to lift and move heavy materials
- Attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
