Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring they feel welcome and comfortable.
- Present menus and provide detailed information about food and beverage offerings, including daily specials.
- Take accurate orders from guests, using basic maths skills to ensure correct billing.
- Assist in food preparation when necessary, adhering to food safety standards.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while checking on guests to ensure satisfaction.
- Manage time effectively to handle multiple tables and requests simultaneously.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns regarding their meals.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
- Handle guest inquiries or complaints with professionalism, ensuring a positive dining experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a culinary or hospitality role is preferred but not essential.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and kitchen operations.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and billing accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanour.
- A genuine passion for guest services and helping others enjoy their dining experience.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
