Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter / Prepper to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality finishes. As a Painter/Prepper you will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paint, varnish, or other finishes to various structures and surfaces.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
- Mix paints and other materials to achieve desired colours and finishes.
- Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment, ensuring even coverage and a professional finish.
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance and make necessary touch-ups.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, including hand tools and power tools.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment, particularly when handling hazardous materials.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Experience
- Previous experience in painting or Prepping is essential.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the painting trade.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during the preparation and application processes.
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for understanding equipment operation and maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for colour matching and finishing techniques.
