Our Team:
The successful candidate will be part of the BNEF Operations team based in our London office for an initial 6 months contract. You will work closely with the Commercial, Product and management team for BloombergNEF - the industry research firm that helps energy professionals navigate change and generate opportunities. Our team of experts, spread across six continents, provides independent analysis and insight, working with the largest corporations across utilities and generation, oil & gas, equipment manufacturers, banking and finance, and government.

What's the role:
Working on the Operations team, the successful candidate will partner closely with the commercial, product and management teams to address operational and strategic issues. The role will involve analysis, reporting, system administration, business enablement and support. Based in our London office responsibilities will require good collaboration with global sales, analyst teams, procurement, contracts and other Bloomberg departments. The ideal candidate will have project management and implementation skills, and a proven track record to find innovative solutions to problems.
We'll trust you to:
- Support the operations and commercial team with administrative duties including user enablement (Internal and external), trouble shooting, permissions, subscription activation/deactivation and service changes.
- Assist the analyst teams with (data and software) vendor procurement and renewals
- Work with the Product, CFO, sales and analyst teams to build and support reporting tools and dashboards
- Support the management team with reporting on business engagement through regular monthly and quarterly processes as well as on an ad-hoc analysis.
- Work with the commercial management team and sales representatives to ensure that account management efforts are aligned to increase client engagement and grow our major accounts.
- Assist the analyst management team with publishing and engagement reporting queries
- Support the operations team with ad-hoc and ongoing project deliverables
You'll need to have:
- Outstanding proactive and persistent customer service skills
- Experience with business intelligence tools, such as Tableau, Qlik or Alteryx
- Experience in business analytics using Excel, Python
- Strong communication skills (oral and written), including structuring presentations and writing business communications.
- Good problem-solving, quantitative and analytical skills; strategic and creative thinker.
- Project management skills and resourcefulness, including a collegial orientation and persuasive communication style.
- Independent management of workload and projects
- Experience in an operating, and/or analytical role.
- Ability to work well both individually and within teams.
- Demonstrable attention to detail and organizational skills.
