We are now looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Bid Writer Assistant to support our expanding Procurement Team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a career in bid writing while contributing to exciting projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and submission of construction and engineering tenders.
- Support the Bid Manager in writing and editing responses to quality questions and social value submissions.
- Conduct background research on clients and projects to tailor bid responses effectively.
- Draft, format, and proof-read documents ensuring they are compelling, clear, and compliant.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams (technical, project, commercial) to gather required information.
- Maintain bid libraries and track previous responses and content for future use.
- Support other procurement and administrative duties as needed.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong written English skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- A background in writing, copywriting, or bid coordination is preferred.
- Prior experience or knowledge of the construction or engineering industry is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Organised, proactive, and confident communicator.
- Comfortable working as part of a collaborative team in a dynamic and fast-paced office environment.
Qualifications
- A-Levels or equivalent qualifications as a minimum.
- Alternatively, the ability to demonstrate strong proficiency in English and Maths.
- A degree (particularly in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field) is preferred but not essential.

Pay: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
