Overview
We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various aspects of joinery based around windows and doors, demonstrating expertise in machining and bench work. This role requires a hands-on approach to manufacturing windows, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. The Joiner will play a crucial role in delivering projects on time and to specification.
Duties
- machining and assembly of wooden doors and windows.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing wood materials.
- Possibly spraying and glazing from time to time.
- Working through projects from start to finish.
- Carrying out maintenance on machines when needed.
- Handle heavy lifting and manoeuvring of materials safely to prevent injury or damage.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution and completion.
Skills
- Needs to be an experienced joiner, who is competent in working immediately in a workshop on project.
- Strong knowledge of joinery principles and practices.
- Experienced in using hand tools such as chisels, saws, and drills with precision.
- Familiarity with power tools including routers, sanders, and nail guns for efficient work output.
- Able to work alone from job sheets.
- Capable of heavy lifting as part of daily responsibilities within construction environments.
- Competence in painting techniques for finishing touches on projects.
- Reliable, we are a fast paced team and being involved is crucial.
- Will need driving licence.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £40,000.00 per year
