Roy Beech (Contractors) Ltd are recruiting for a Barber Greene (Paver) Operator to join our established tarmac surfacing department. We deliver high quality surfacing projects in the Midlands covering roads, car parks, footpaths and playgrounds etc.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience in general tarmac surfacing as well as working as a screwman on the paver. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday with opportunities of overtime.
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Barber Greene driver with experience in operating a paving machine. You will be part of a team delivering high standard tarmac surfacing works safely, efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- You are expected to drive a macadam paving machine.
- Carry out regular checks and basic maintenance on surfacing plant and equipment.
- Assist in ensuring the site is safe and well managed, including setting up signs and barriers.
- Work co-operatively within a surfacing crew, following directions and deadlines.
- Maintain high levels of workmanship and safety standards at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Valid CPCS or NPORS ticket.
- Strong understanding of surfacing techniques and site safety.
- Willingness to travel.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Positive attitude, teamwork skills and attention to detail.
Desirable Qualifications
- CSCS Card.
- NRSWA (New Roads and Streetworks Act) certification.
- Full UK driving licence.
- First Aid at Work certification.
