As a bar supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the bars at Preston Grasshoppers operate efficiently, that customers are satisfied with their service, and that the team works together to meet and exceed targets.
You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of customer service, presentation, and product knowledge, while also ensuring that the team is motivated and well-trained.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee front of house operations, ensuring seamless and efficient service from tap to table. Deputise for the management team and resolve any issues that arise in their absence.
- Lead, motivate, supervise and be a role model the front of house team to deliver exemplary service.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety across all front of house areas. Make sure the bar is always safe, legal and clean, and any issues are dealt with as quickly and safely as possible.
- You will have excellent practical bartending skills and a solid knowledge of beverages and bar operations, including knowledge of licensing laws and the confidence to enforce them
- Uphold and enhance the customer experience, making sure every customer receives a warm welcome.
- Security of the premises: Ensuring the security of the building, and locking up at close of business.
- This is not an exhaustive description of your duties. You will be expected to take a flexible approach to your role and responsibilities. From time to time, you may be required to undertake such alternative or additional duties as may be commensurate with your skills, experience and capabilities

- Excellent organisational skills
- You will have excellent practical bartending skills and a solid knowledge of beverages and bar operations, including knowledge of licensing laws and the confidence to enforce them
- Previous supervisory experience in a bar or pub setting.
- A positive attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a keen eye for detail.
- Weekend and evening availability is essential.
- Personal License holder preferred or willingness to obtain one.
