We have a fantastic opportunity for a Bar Supervisor to assist in the running of our beautiful Shelburne Restaurant Bar, Conference and Banquetting Bar as well as our Golf Clubhouse bar.
We are looking for a personailty who can produce fabulous cocktails, possesses great wine knowledge and is proficient with all aspects of running a bar.
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Bar Supervisor to join our team at The Shelburne Bar. You will be responsible for supporting the daily operation of the bar, ensuring excellent service, maintaining high standards, and leading the team in delivering a premium guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the bar team during service, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
- Deliver exceptional customer service, maintaining a welcoming and professional environment
- Prepare and serve beverages to the highest standards, including cocktails, wines, and coffees
- Train, motivate, and support junior bar staff, encouraging development and team morale
- Maintain stock control and assist with ordering, deliveries, and inventory checks
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, licensing, and hygiene regulations
- Handle guest feedback professionally, resolving issues promptly and effectively
- Assist in planning and executing special events or seasonal promotions within the bar
- Monitor opening and closing procedures, ensuring the bar is always clean, organised, and fully operational
- Strong knowledge of wines, spirits, and cocktails
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail and a passion for hospitality
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Personal License (preferred but not essential)
