Company Overview
We are a members Yacht Club based on the River Severn near Kempsey. The club was formed almost 100 years ago and strictly follows tradition expected as an registered Yacht Clubs within the UK.
We have a small bar and restaurant that we are looking for bar staff to undertake bar duties, but to also help take meals out to tables. Our restaurant covers are on average between 10 - 40 people.
Bar duties will include serving members, cleaning down, line clean etc. Training will be delivered as necessary, we are only concerned that the applicant has bar experience.
Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic Bar Staff to join our team at Severn Motor Yacht Club. This role is vital in creating an exceptional experience for our members + guests, ensuring that all bar operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area at all times.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests and responding to their needs.
- Manage inventory levels of bar supplies and report any shortages.
- Line cleaning
Requirements
- Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions.
Hours
- Friday + Saturday shift is from 5.30 - 11.30 with payment of £13.25 per hour.
- Overtime will be paid for hours worked after 11.30 pm.
- Additional shifts in summer / bank holidays available during daytime.
- We pay a minimum of £75 per shift even if closed early (say 8pm, you will still receive minimum payment)
